Introduction Dive

This is where the Yu Diving Experience begins .... The session introduces you to breathing underwater

Ever wondered what it would feel like to be an astronaut, floating weightlessly - well scuba diving is the closest most of us ever come to that - AND IT IS AMAZING !

As company policy everyone does a try dive. The session introduces you to breathing underwater, the kit, the safety aspects and skills that you need to learn as a diver. After you have completed the dive you will be able to make an informed decision re scuba diving, courses and the benefits of learning to dive with Yu Diving. The cost of the try dive and information count towards the full qualification course.

Introduction Dive
When I first spoke to John at YU he was extremely enthusiastic about diving generally. He was very accommodating in booking me and my two children in, and ensuring we had the correct equipment in the correct sizes. Once at the pool, the explanations from the instructors were clear and concise, and they were extremely encouraging at every stage. The trial dive progressed really well and the instructors were very patient and exuded confidence which we could feed off. The experience itself was first class and we can't wait to do the full Open Water Course. Thank you all at YU for an amazing couple of hours.
Introduction Dive
I attended a Yu Dive try dive at the Manchester Aquatics centre this week. All I can say is wow, what a fantastic experience. I took my two children aged 11 and 8 and my brother-in-law who is a life guard. I myself am not much of a swimmer and none of us had ever dived before. We were greeted by very helpful, confident and attentive trainers who explained everything that we were going to be doing that night in great detail. At no one time did I feel as though I was being pressured in to doing anything I didn't want to do.When we were pool side we all had a labelled box which contained our equipment. We were taught how to use the equipment, encouraged to ask questions and when it came to putting the equipment on, the instructors explained everything again.I didn't once feel as though I was in any danger and I felt the same for my children. When we got in to the water, we went through a few more basics and asked if we had any more questions. When we started to descend was amazing, like being in another world ! The freedom that comes from swimming under water and being able to breathe was incredible. Being weightless like that was, I imagine, a bit like flying. It's hard to explain but once you've been through it, you'll know what I mean.I was a little nervous before I got in the water, but the instructors were very patient and very supportive. It was a not unlike getting on a rollercoaster and being scared, then the minute the ride finishes, you want to get back on again. My kids loved it are already asking me when they can do it again. In fact one of them said "I wish it wasn't the school holidays, so I could go and tell all my friends about it"The other one is already asking if he can have a photo to take in to school after the holidays for his 'what we did' project! Thanks so much to John and the team for making our experience such an enjoyable one
